Lexy Rivera is a seasoned advancement professional with over 13 years of experience in development, communications and events. Lexy joins APF following her tenures at Sarah Lawrence College and State University of New York Maritime College.
Lexy previously held positions in the performing arts and hospitality before pivoting to advancement. Known for her data-informed humanist strategy and commitment to inclusive engagement, she is an active presenter and contributor to conversations surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion.
Lexy holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and a BFA from Utah Valley University, and serves as board member and active participant and ally for several organizations including the Association of Development Officers (ADO), Women of Color in Fundraising & Philanthropy (WOC), African American Development Officers (AADO), Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Nonprofit Westchester (NPW) and the Business Council of Westchester (BCW).
A New York native, Lexy lives in Westchester with her husband and stepkids and can frequently be found at the Alamo Drafthouse or making friends with stray cats.
